The difference

Why it matters after launch

The system behind a product is not a detail. It is the difference between a thing that ships once and a thing a team can keep changing.

We read the system first

Before anything is drawn we go through what already exists — the components, the tokens, the places two teams solved the same problem twice.

One team, one thread

No handoff between the people who decided and the people who built. You talk to whoever is doing the work.

The smallest thing that works

Sometimes the answer is one component. Sometimes it is a system. We say which, even when the smaller answer is the cheaper invoice.

It still works after we go

Everything ships with its own README, its own demo and no dependency on us. You own it, you can read it, and it survives the handover.
